Fall Favourites

Fall is fast approaching and even though we would love one more month of summer, we get very excited for the fall cocktail selection. We start to switch the Chardonnay for Red Wine (unless you’re Crystal…Chardonnay all the way!), we drink more bourbon, with the option to make it smokey, and we infuse all the seasonal flavours of fall into our cocktails, it’s delightful! 

Here are the items we have either picked up or eyeing! 

1. Black Wine Glasses. We love these matte black wine glasses. They are super moody, and great for October! You can find them here!

2. BOURBON! Bourbon is our go to drink in the fall, makes us feel warm and happy. You can go quite pricey with bourbon but we like to stick with Bulleit and Woodford. Middle of the road prices and great taste. 

3. Old Fashioned Glasses. These are short and cute and we love the colour and pattern of the glass. These are from CB2. You can find them here!

4. Anthropologie Candle. If you love burning candles in the fall/winter, check the candles out at Anthropologie. We bought this earlier in the week and it’s that perfect fall scent, Whiskey & Birch. So cozy! You can find it here!

5. Apples! Every year we go to the local apple farm. Our favourite is Willow View Farms. We like to make apple butter to mix into our Old Fashioned! We use Half Baked Harvest’s Apple Butter Recipe every year and it’s so simple and easy. Find the recipe here!

6. These are our favourite glasses to use during October. They are heavy and very on theme. We love a good theme. These are from Crate & Barrel, another favourite store of ours to get bar glasses. You can find them here!

7. We love dark cherries in our whiskey sours! Or any bourbon drink really. You can find dark cherries like this at almost all grocery stores or online but we have found Cocktail Emporium has the best selection! You can find them here!

8. Breville Smoking Gun & Cloche. This is a newish gadget we got last year. We love it! You can infuse natural smoke flavours like Applewood or Hickory into a variety of food and drinks. Obviously we choose to infuse the drinks. It’s a fun thing to have if you’re like us and like to get creative with your cocktails. Get yours here!
